Best Portable Bluetooth Speakers – Ultimate Ears BOOM Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

Best Portable Bluetooth Speakers – Ultimate Ears BOOM Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

I had been looking for the best portable Bluetooth speakers, for a very long time. I work at an industrial engineering company and we deal with some very big and loud machinery, I have to maintain this presses and they are the loudest and most intimidating things have ever dealt with and due to the complexity of this machinery and for safety reasons I can not wear headphones. Therefor, I had to find a safe alternative to the headphones so that I wouldn’t die of boredom. So I started looking around for the best portable speakers, my search began with the JBL flip.

Although the sound quality on the Flip was pretty good, the battery life sucked, the Flip had ran out of juice by, mid day, while the battery life on the UE Boom lasts all day and I’m talking about a 12 hour work day, sometimes. So I have to say, that the 15-hour battery life claim on the UE BOOM, is very much true. So I moved on to the Bose Mini.

The sound quality on the Mini was excellent, and I’ve been a huge fan of the Bose brand forever but I have to say the sound quality on the Ultimate Ears BOOM Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, was way louder and at 50% volume, it was also clearer than the Mini. Now lets clear something out, I have to turn the sound on these speakers to at least 75% volume because of all the loud noise inside the machinery room.

I can take this UE BOOM 360-degree portable Bluetooth speaker anywhere, because it comes with a D-ring that I clip to my belt when I want to move around. The Bluetooth capability on this speaker is awesome because I can turn the volume up or down, switch songs and when I use it with my phone, I can also take phone calls from up to 40 to 50 feet away, the specifications say that it could be reached from 50 feet away but by my experience, I’ve noticed a little unresponsiveness at 50 feet away.

Even though I can pair up to 8 Bluetooth devices to the ultimate ears Boom wireless Bluetooth speaker, and switch from one device to the next, so far I have only used two my phone and my iPod, with no difficulty what so ever. The ultimate ears Boom wireless Bluetooth speaker, is made with an acoustic skin with plasma coating that’s stain and water resistant, and that has come in very handy in the kind of environment I work in, which consists of different oil lubricants, and some very strong industrial cleaners and so far the speaker is not showing any signs of wear.

UE BOOM with phoneIt comes in 4 colors, black with red lines, blue with yellow and white lines, yellow with blue lines and red with white and grey lines. I got the black one, because I grab it with dirty hands all the time and I don’t want the grime to show so much. And at last, I also used this UE Boom at a Falcons tailgate party I had not too long ago, and I wanted more sound power so my brother got hes UE Boom and we connected both speakers together in stereo via the app and we had some crazy sound going on and we had a lot of the other tailgaters listening to our game broadcast, it was awesome!. I give it thumbs up.

In my search for the most portable, durable, AND best sounding Bluetooth speaker, I tried many. I can confidently say I tried all of them in the 50-$400 dollar range. If you’re looking for something that is durable enough to get wet, dirty, and is basically washable, and has the ability to get loud (read as actually loud), has its own app, can have two people connected at once, and the ability to have a twin playing in tandem, you should pick this up.

The one question I found to be the most common and answered with the most varied responses is concerning the… Click Here to Read More
