I call this digital camera. The little Giant, and let me tell you why?…. The GoPro Hero3 camera (Black Edition) does it all, it becomes waterproof if you need it to be, it can loop video, it does continuous photo, manual white balance control (which basically means that it will measure the temperature of light and balances out the colors of your photography for the desired results), you can do Protune Mode ( Protune records higher quality video without as much compression.
It’s more suited towards professional usage, Protune mode records a flat contrast so editing performed after filming can implement better and increasingly accurate color correction.), it allows to shoot photos while recording video. It can record video in Professional 4K Cinema 15 and more video capture 12MP photo capture with 30 fps burst. It’s with Built-In, and a Wi-Fi Remote (normally A Separate $79.99 Accessory).
It’s got a GoPro App that’s free. It also comes with a 197’/ 60m Waterproof Housing (I use this housing when I go to the scuba diving or when we’re in the pool at my brother’s house, it works perfectly). And it’s got assorted mounts and hardware included for attaching the GoPro Hero3 HD camera Black Edition to just about any surface you want. The Hero3: Black Edition is a very versatile camera. Built-in Wi-fi, Gopro App Compatibility And The Included Wi-fi Remote (normally A Separate $79.99 Accessory.)
It’s very small and light…Weighing in at 2.6 Ounces, The Hero3: Black Edition is 25% lighter and 30% smaller than previous models, with 2x faster video performance the Hero3: Black Edition can capture professional, cinema-quality video at twice the resolution and twice the frame-rate of previous models while delivering twice better low light performance.
If you like to record video in slow motion then you’ll love the Hero3: Black Edition’s 1080p-60, 720p-120, Wvga-240, 960p-100 and 1440p-48 video modes but if you want a cinematic look then you’ll appreciate the ultra-high resolution 2.7-30 Fps And 4kp-15 Fps (only) video modes. 3 times faster photo performance the Hero3: Black Edition’s photo performance is 3 times better, and now it has a 12mp burst capture at an amazing 30 frames per second with twice better low light performance compared to previous models.
Still photo and time-lapse photo modes were not improved from previous models but instead they added a new continuous photo mode that can capture continuous 12mp stills at a steady 3, 5, Or 10 photos-per-second rate, you can capture up to 30 photos at a time This little camera is one of my high end purchases this year, but I’m really loving it and enjoying it.
I give it thumbs up. I have a really cool and very useful tool on this site, called the FREE, 90% off deal finder tool. Feel free to use it when you are ready to get the GoPro Hero3 HD camera. I guarantee you will love this tool, I do!

I’ll leave my review below (which I took some time crafting) but I’ll start by saying that I’m returning the unit for exchange. It worked for a week and a half without problem, but now I’m having the same sort of freeze up type issues that others have reported. It seems that some……..3.0 out of 5 stars
