The Strathwood Basics The Best Anti-Gravity Adjustable Recliner Chair
When I first heard of the Strathwood basics anti-gravity adjustable recliner chair. I was a little skeptical, mainly because of the price. This anti-gravity recliner is designed to provide the same weightless, floating sensations NASA astronauts experience in a gravity-free environment. That’s why I thought that the price was a bit low considering the technology involved in the anti-gravity adjustable recliner’s design. When in the reclined, “weightless” position the chair raises the legs, so it reduces pressure on the spine and it relieves muscle tension. All that is due to a unique locking system, the Strathwood Basics anti-gravity adjustable recliner adjusts to offer endless back and foot positions. Adding comfort to the chair is a removable pillow to serve as a headrest or lumbar support. And the best part is that, you can take the chair absolutely anywhere.
The Strathwood basics anti-gravity chair, folds very compactly as any standard folding lounge chair. And then it’s got bungee cords through metal grommets that secure the ultra-durable Textilene seat to its lightweight, powder-coated steel frame and give the chair its famous suspension seating. See this textilene is a polyester yarn with a resin coating, woven into very durable and elastic fabric. Even the arms are made of a hard plastic so it will last. Though the steel seat frame resists rust and corrosion and is powder coated to protect it from weathering, beware the Strathwood Basics anti-gravity adjustable recliner is not meant to be left outdoors year round in all types of weather.
Since it’s so easy to take down and fold, you can store it indoors. It stays true to the fact that it can hold up to 250 pounds, I’ve had some heavy friends fall asleep on it. The Strathwood Basics anti-gravity adjustable recliner measures 63.8 inches long by 26.8 inches wide by 29.3 inches high when in an open position and 36 inches long by 26.8 inches wide by 5.7 inches high when in a closed position. It weighs 17.82 pounds and it comes in a few colors, Black/Silver, Caribbean Blue and Brown/Champagne. And the Strathwood company has other accessories that can go with this Strathwood Basics anti-gravity adjustable recliner chair. What Others Are Saying About: The Strathwood Basics anti-gravity adjustable recliner chair
May 19, 2011: UPDATE. It’s time to get the Recliner out and go for a third season of use. Without exception this chair looks almost exactly as it looked in 2009 when it arrived. Two seasons of use and it’s still like new. After sun, rain and lots of wind I am delighted with the Strathwood. Do not use this if you have work to do. If you have the slightest bit of sleep in your system and relax in this recliner you are going to go to sleep. I set this up on the deck with the intention of reading a while and then finishing some other tasks related to spring cleanup. Whoops…Click Here To Read More
I’ll be honest with you. I bought this chair to sleep in. I don’t mean that I bought it to nap in. I mean that I bought it to sleep through the night. I’ve been in a sticky situation where I’ve had to stay at my parent’s house in my old room. I needed a place to stay short term until I was able to move into a new apartment. Anyways, I was short on space since my parents had filled my room full of bookshelves and junk when I moved out. I didn’t have room for a full sized bed, so I tried a couple camping cots. They didn’t last long and/or were terribly uncomfortable for a sleeping situation. So I set out to find a new “bed” and I stumbled upon this gem…Click Here To Read More
I could really love this chair if only I could get in and out of it without so much difficulty. At full recline, the zero gravity effect is wonderful. However, for as much as I want to use this chair, getting into and out of it is just too challenging.
P.S. I’m a senior and I’m tall. Thirty years ago, no big deal!…Click Here To Read More
